"Pilots are always dreaming dreams" - Amelia Earhart
In May 1937, Amelia Earhart embarked on the most ambitious and dangerous flight of her career; an attempt to fly around the world at the Equator. Six weeks later, she and her navigator, Fred Noonan, disappeared without a trace in the south pacific.
The Final Hours; Amelia Earhart's Last Flight replicates the journey in a vintage Lockheed Electra. The program uses Amelia's diaries and logbooks to tell the story of her life and her last flight. Interviews with aviation experts help viewers understand what may have happened on Earhart's ill-fated journey.
